A match-funding campaign with a difference
In the lead up to the festive season, we have the amazing opportunity for a special campaign. Starting on Friday 1st December, any new regular donations will be doubled for an entire year (more details below).
What?! Yes indeed, that’s a whole year of doubling the effect of your generosity.
Give a Christmas Sparkle to the families and children in Maputo
Here are the details:
Starting on Friday 1st December and running for two weeks, until Friday 15th December, any new regular donations set up for Tutela Africa will be match-funded by a ‘Tutela Champion’, who will match gifts up to a total of £200 per month for the next 12 months. Which is pretty incredible!
You can give via our fundraising page (see button above) or if you are already a regular supporter, then simply amend the amount you give via a standing order or Stewardship, and then let us know.
As an example, if you set up a regular donation of £15 per month, it will become £30 each month for Tutela for the whole of 2024.
And if you set up £25 monthly, it will become £50 each month. Imagine having your monthly gift doubled!
As you can imagine this is a game-changer for the Tutela work and will provide the team in Mozambique with a fantastic platform to reach more vulnerable children in the local community. This year has been very full for the team in Maputo. They have navigated through external pressures and internal hurdles to continue providing vital care to twelve children in cluster foster families, as well as taking steps toward new programmes in the local community. This match-funding campaign will be used to strengthen the work in 2024 and enable the Tutela team to reach more families and children through the community programme.
Our target is to raise £400 per month for 2024
This monthly amount includes the match-funding. By raising new regular donations up to £200 per month, this will translate to £400 per month for the entire year.
In terms of a regular gift, it could be given either monthly, quarterly or annually. Use the button above to open our campaign page and when you click Donate, you will see the options to give.
Any donation big or small is gratefully received. All gifts will be used to benefit the foster families and community families that we support in Maputo, unless otherwise stated.
A brief update on how we managed funds from the Big Give Challenge in 2022
In December 2022, Tutela took part in the Big Give Challenge where we raised £8,000 from a match-funding campaign. The focus of the campaign was to raise funds to run parenting courses and explore launching the third foster family in Maputo to provide cluster foster care to more children.
